My views on Remade: Nanban..
Whenever it comes to remake movies, the essential thing goes like this: there are people who would watched in the original version and then they make comparison with the remade versions..
In that way, i felt very lucky coz till date i never watched 'three idiots', which happens to be the original. In my opinion, contentment comes only when a movie is wtched in our mother tongue. Just watching the subtitles or coping with the visual scenes wont work out, atleast for me..
Here comes my views:
I dont know.. everybody knows whats the Present Education System is and how it leads, then still, why are not there any fruitful steps taken to solve it? Does it need any more movies to say who has to do or how it has to be done? If thats the case, then i am really waiting for the next treat..
All is Well in Life till we have that Positive Vibration inside and around us..

Here comes my views:
- I again go with the music first. Background score was done appropriately. People in the mood of watching this movie wont feel anything that goes wrong. so BGM didnt spoil anything here.
- But all songs are not upto mark.. The last song was shot well. it was a visual treat for the first time viewers. But the song is not catchy. and obviously, we dont need a song there. its a usual trend of saying 'the movie will end in few minutes'. Next comes, i would like to blame the director for the title song. 'En friend-a Pola' is an excellent beat which could have been inserted somewhere in the movie, instead its wasted in the title. Title song which didnt have any visual happenings except showing the travel way, really spoiled the expectation of the song. and one more song: 'Endhan kan munae' is penned excellently. words were awesome. but rhythm fails. that guy will sing this song in a tone that he has lost something that he thought which was his career. the rhythm was just like a break in friendship or love. Lyrics stressed the feel but rhythm failed.
- To really appreciate, i would go for 'Asku Laska' and 'Nalla Nanban'. Both really rocked and impressed most people..
- Heroine is of not much importance.. But really felt, Ileana didnt make up to this role.. The director who wisely chose Sathyaraj, Sathyan and SJ Suryah (just for 2 scenes) could have opted for an other option in case of heroine. Ileana did her job well, but Rhea needs something better..
- Coming to Presentation, i didnt feel that i was sitting for 3 hours in the theatre. Tamil audience wont prefer to sit more than 2 1/2 hours. But Nanban makes us sit and watch all 3 hours. The only time where i felt like going out and have a relax is that last song.. (though i felt, i didnt go out coz its the first time i saw that song, hahaha..)
- The biggest plus of this movie is the title 'Nanban'. Its a positive impact creating movie. The title creates it. Though i have not seen the original hindi version, i feel '3 idiots' is a negative tone title. Coz the mantra of the whole movie is: All Is Well. So, i would obviously appreciate the tamil director for choosing a positive title. A movie needs a good title to capture it audience..
- Overall i felt that Tamil audience got a good treat this Pongal. Thanks to Director Shankar, Director Rajkumar Hirani and also to the other 2 script writers in hindi..
